- Artist, writer and cultural entrepreneur Serena Kovalosky spent 18 years in the travel industry before retiring her backpack to focus on her goals as a visual artist. Moving into an artists' loft in Montreal, Canada she left behind the 9-to-5 corporate culture for a more creative lifestyle. Years later, she returned to her rural roots in upstate New York to further her artistic research of the organic form, and found herself drawn back into travel - exploring country roads from behind the wheel of an old Chevy Lumina. Combining her passion for food, art and travel, Kovalosky has taken on the role of an "Artful Vagabond" as she travels regularly (in-between art exhibitions) and chronicles her discoveries in this blog. Thanks for this wonderful journey.
This was an interesting and enjoyable piece. It reminded me of weekends spent with my friends camping along the banks of the Hudson River. We were teenagers and would spread out sleeping bags on the bare ground with no tent or cover and spend the entire night circled around a roaring fire sharing stories of the past, and dreams of the future. Thanks to you and to Rick for sharing this experience.
Now as fiery leaves lick colorfully toward the sky, I am all the more grateful for the Firekeeper's Tale!
